As a member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in driving process alignment and increasing business efficiencies. Reporting to the VP Strategic Finance, you will collaborate with various stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Delivery, to drive visibility and operational efficiency into our software delivery team. This is a highly visible position that involves working closely with executive leadership, contributing to strategic decision-making, and executing cross-functional initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Own the account and project-specific P&L buildout, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis.
- Develop and implement processes for reporting on in-flight projects, including progress, completion, and project status (R/Y/G), while identifying projects that require intervention.
- Utilize JIRA or other Project Management software to streamline project workflows, manage tasks, and drive efficiency. You will be responsible for implementing and optimizing the tool within Crowdbotics.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of professional services project financials, including revenue recognition, cost tracking, and profitability analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define and deliver clear, concise reports on project financials, performance metrics, and KPIs.
- Identify opportunities to improve project profitability and operational effectiveness, driving process improvements and recommending necessary changes.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making and strategic initiatives related to account and project management.
- Work closely with Finance to align project financials with broader financial planning and forecasting activities.
- Proactively identify areas for process optimization and drive continuous improvements in operational processes across the organization.
- Lead the implementation and adoption of best practices, tools, and systems to enhance project management and financial reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate with Leadership and other stakeholders on strategic projects, providing data-driven perspectives and recommendations.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Sales/Revenue/Business Operations, or Project/Program Management at a SaaS-based company.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical-oriented field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in building out account and project-specific P&L statements and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in reporting on in-flight projects, tracking completion, and managing project status using tools like JIRA or other Project Management software.
- Strong understanding of professional services project financials, including revenue recognition, cost tracking, and profitability analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver clear, concise reports on project financials, performance metrics, and KPIs.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and stitching data together from multiple sources to support consolidated reporting.
- Proven experience implementing and optimizing Project Management software within an organization.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset, with the ability to identify areas for optimization and drive change.
- Familiarity with financial planning and forecasting processes, aligning project financials with broader financial activities.
- Experience leading the implementation of tools, systems, or best practices within a similar operational role.
