About Pow.bio

Founded by a UC Berkeley Ph.D. graduate and a SynBio veteran, Pow.bio is revolutionizing the $500B biomanufacturing market by building a self-driving fermenter platform that enables cost-effective scale-up solutions across a wide array of strains, organisms, and products.

As right hand to the CEO, you will:

  • Organize and operationalize Pow.bio executive management to accelerate decision making
  • Define business and customer strategy in partnership with our Business Development lead
  • Lead and develop presentation materials for key meetings with the executive team to company All-Hands
  • Model, track, and forecast business financials and revenue
  • Manage regular updates to Pow.bio’s board and investors
  • Spearhead a variety of internal projects to support the Pow.bio team such as overseeing construction of our new pilot facility, accessing Capex, and performance reviews

The right person will:

  • Be extremely results-oriented, analytical, and entrepreneurial
  • Bring 5-8 years of business experience e.g., from management consulting or a high-growth startup (this is an incredible training ground to be Founder or Executive -at Pow.bio, or synbio at large - so potentially our Chief of Staff has that aspiration)
  • Be a team player and great communicator, bridging gaps between business and technology and interdisciplinary teams
  • Have experience in the synthetic biology industry; fermentation exposure (preferred)
  • Be located in the Bay Area and able to be onsite at our East Bay locations at least three days a week
