Your responsibilities:

  • Make media solutions for a variety of fermentation projects
    • This includes following batch records as well as several types of sterilization
  • Clean and autoclave glassware
  • Routine lab cleaning
  • Prepare tubing kits and bottles
  • Communicate with RAs, Fermentation Managers, and Scientists to ensure proper formulations
  • Work with Lab Manager to preemptively order chemicals to keep deadlines

Required qualifications

  • Strong organization and time-management skills with an attention to detail. Especially around record keeping
  • Ability to use lab equipment such as pH probes, balances, stir plates
  • Previous Lab experience
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs.
  • H.S. Diploma or higher

Desired skills

  • 2+ years of Lab experience
  • Understanding of chemicals and their interactions
  • Ability to operate lab equipment
  • Pipetting experience

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $26-$32 an hour, based on experience.

This is an onsite position, with a projected schedule of Mon-Fri 9am -5:30pm. There is no relocation assistance offered at this time. Please note that we will be relocating our facility to Alameda, CA this fall.
